My First ‘Easy’ Week and some J. Simpson

And just like that Monday is about over! Since I only had a 60 minute ride at 90 + cadence I put that off until the evening. I was ravenous (what’s new) after work and stuffed my face with some pita chips and this granola popcorn I bought at Costco. Super healthy. I guess there are worse things I could have consumed!

I finally got on my bike and started my ride. I have been on a music kick instead of a TV show kick when riding. Don’t judge me but Jessica Simpson was definitely played during my ride tonight. It brings me back to middle school and high school. I remember listening to every song lyric and trying to apply it to my “love” life. Oh boy. I was a trip back in the day!

IMG_2664I only had to ride in zone 1-zone 2 so it was a pretty uneventful ride. I tried to push it a little but then I remembered that I need to take advantage of these easy weeks so that my body can rest and be ready to kick some ass!

This week is a very easy week. My rides are all pretty tame, my swims are a little more tame than usual, and my long ride is only an hour and a half. I am looking forward to it not being a killer!

Coach is going to add running back into the schedule next week. I think it’s been over 10 weeks since the last time I ran. That is going to be interesting. Hopefully all my swimming, biking, and strength will aid me with those runs. I know it’s going to be tough and slow at first.

Tomorrow is an AM swim at 6:30 a.m. I packed all my crap, hopefully I don’t forget my work clothes this time. I also packed my lunch. Trying to get my life together and be more on top of those things. I plan on finishing this post and going to bed!
